Wat do you think of VpnBook?
Fine for something like unblocking netflix, just don’t send anything private or important over it.
I wouldn’t touch it with a barge pole.
The only free VPN providers I (somewhat) trust are:
- Riseup (non-profit / donations)
- Calyx (non-profit / donations)
- ProtonVPN (supported by paid accounts).
Also, please make sure you understand what VPNs actually are.
Vpnbook are good pptp vpn to use. They mask your ip address, allow you to bypass censorship and encrypted your data to prevent ISP from spying your internet activities. They are fast because they are a pptp vpn but not well secure. More vulnerable to hackers attack. And it keep logs for 7 days. Not much of a open soucre and private. But they are free because they run ads. Like Facebook. It also been support through Bitcoin donations. So if you want to use a open soucre vpn like protonvpn that keep no logs and respect your privacy don’t use vpnbook.
