VPN on a SAMSUNG TV

So I have a SAMSUNG Tv and they dont let you use a VPN sadly. Now I dont want a vpn on the whole router for every device. It would be best to use a ethernet cable to the tv to get the most bandwidth. I have thought about using a Rassberry for this project but the diffrent versions I have found only have 1 ethernet port. So what I want to know if its any simple way to get a VPN device/passthrough to connect in between the TV and router? The VPN I am using is private vpn if that matters.

Get a gl.inet travel router. You should be able to use the OpenVPN client to connect to your provider.

gl.inet travel router

Would something like the Shadow Mini Smart Router GL-AR300M16-EXT work for a ptoject like this? Its cheap were I live and I only need one WAN and one LAN to only encrypt the one cable to the tv

Not sure but I use a Beryl. It goes on the road with me and a FireStick. Both the Firestick and the upstream connection use WFi. The router forms the vpn on top of the WiFi internet connection. Works well. If you’re streaming tv then it’s all you need. Hope that helps.

I think I found the perfect device. The Brume 2 from gl.inet. It can do 150Mbps over Openvpn which should be plenty to stream in 4k.

Did it work? I’m trying to get mine sorted also.

Hi sorry Im late answering, yes but it was a pain to setup. Im right now working on a script that changes to the best server on my vpn provider when no data is being sent through the device every 30 minutes. Did you end up getting it?
