Reviews about BitDefender VPN?

I am Looking to Subscribe to Bitdefender and am Between Total Security for 10 Devices (Around 95Eur) and Premium Security (Around 140Eur)

Now as you may know, Premium Security Includes all Features in Total Security, A Password Manager (Around 30 Eur if bought alone) and Unlimited Encrypted VPN Traffic (Around 70Eur if bought alone)

Now for my case I want the 10 devices (as I am going to share the security features with family) and I would also want the Password Manager as I think it would be useful to me (Personal Use only for me, not sharing). Now to be honest, I have never used a VPN, but I would like look into it as is is supposedly more secure to surf the Web. From my calculations, If I opt for Premium Security, I would be getting the VPN for around 15Eur which I dont think its that much (especially when comparing to stand alone VPNs such as Nord and Express). However, what do you think about BitDefender VPN Please? Should I go for it, or should I go for a Third Party VPN (Lemme know which one and why please)

As others said Bitdefender doesn’t have the best reputation at the moment. I am also looking to buy a new VPN but after reading a few discussions over here it looks like Bitdefender won’t be one of them lol.

Edit: Found a guy who posted a spreadsheet and tried most of the biggest password managers. Decided to buy NordPass again. If anyone is interested here it is: https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1Wk8SCtsjbt6lgHwB41meldKPxHKzqRQ6VIqMur0uGLQ/edit?gid=1286792298#gid=1286792298

If you are into anonymity, before you buy a VPN, you must know who made that VPN and do some research on the product. Some antivirus companies do not make their own VPN system. They simply bought the system from a 3rd party established VPN company. E.g. Kaspersky and Bitdefender, are using the same VPN technology which is provided by Hotspot Shield. There are several data breaches happened a long time ago. The stories are still available on the internet as of today and a group of people are still debating on this.

So, my advice is go for other VPN such as Nord, Express, or Proton. Proton vpn is new and a late comer in the industry. I’m a Proton client for 5-6 years and I’ve never experienced any data breaches when using their product. While Nord and Express have several data breaches but they quickly mitigate the issue.

you could use mullvad/proton/ivpn for vpn and bitwarden or 1password for pass manager

Thanks… Really appreciate the detailed reply

But could you clarify this for me please. What do you mean by anonymity? i.e. Would all VPNs protect me the same if for example I use a Public Network and I want to Protect from such attacks? If Im understanding correctly is that such VPN may keep logs or stuff which isn’t really my concern

Don’t bother with any VPN that isn’t Mullvad. Most VPN companies will let the government subpoena data. Mullvad has a special system set up where none of your information is stored on their servers, so even with a government subpoena, they can’t get any of your info no matter how hard they try.

didnt know this before coming here

What I mean is, If you don’t want the VPN company and any government organizations able to view or request from the company any of your personal details such as card number, address, family members, etc., you might want to choose other VPN that doesn’t do any of those. But, if you don’t mind the company or gov organizations to have maybe a little log, like website url, ip address, etc. then, this should be no problem for you to use any VPN. Same goes like me, I don’t really mind if they store some details about me as long as my data is not easily leaked.
