So Since Twitter is apparently going to be banned in Brazil, I would like some VPN/proxy recommendations for Firefox both mobile(android) and PC (mostly free ones).
You would trust your connection to run through a ‘free’ VPN? You are a lot braver than me… I’d trust ProtonVPN, but that’s it.
I think it’s worth paying a few bucks a month, but no idea if that’s realistic in Brazil/your situation or if it is worth it if it’s just for Twitter.
ProtonVPN and Cloudflare WARP are the only good free VPNs. Proton has a Firefox extension, Cloudflare uses a desktop app.

Try Cloudflare 1.1.1.1 (WARP) - it’s free. Or try to find some local services working on Outline - it must be cheap, I believe 1-2 $ per month. Both work on PC and Android. These are not add-ons for Firefox and are aboe to work for all installed apps and programs.
Gave up even reading a few accounts on Twitter when Musk killed 3rd party APIs and the minimalist Ad-free privacy-friendly open-source Nitter front-end died. Frankly life is better without scrolling through other peoples’ angst… and an ever-increasing delight to avoid the warped thoughts of Chairman Musk.
I use NordVPN, they have discount “redditoffer” that gives additional month. I think it still works because people shared it recently here too

Like I would pay, but what is just a few bucks for you is multiplied by 5.5x for us XD so like for 1 month in nord i need to pay 40Bucks(On a 1:1 scale)
Why not? The only thing they can see is SNI and that’s the same with your ISP or any other vpn provider. I’ve been using various free proxy solututions like shadowsocks/vmess/vless/etc for years. If you are too paranoid, you always can make proxy chains and tunnel something like wireguard (warp for instance) through them.
I think proton’s extension only works for paid subscribers

5.5x is quite steep, but I know what you mean, that’s why I added the last part. Between here and my home country these kind of services are also about 2x as expensive as my home country.

Proton is very clear about it and has a solid reputation, better even than some paid popular services like NordVPN.
The thing it that it all comes down to trust, even your ISP could use deep packet inspection, you just have to trust them that they don’t. At least your ISP is a solid company, registered in your own country and DPI is illegal in most places. You can’t say the same for some shady VPN registered in the Cayman Islands or where ever?
