Mullvad VPN Review 2023 (10 year VPN user)

Hi all, I’ve been using VPNs since 2013, and of all the VPNs I’ve used, Mullvad has been one of the best overall.

Mullvad Pros:

Crypto payments
Account number rather than username, password.
smart email support
Good prices at ~$6 per month.
Audited no logs infrastucture and app security patching.
Good amount of servers.
DNS tracker blocklists.
Optional Obfuscation
Protocol and Port configurability. OpenVPN, WireGuard, many ports available for both protocols.
Linux, Mac, Windows, Android (and maybe more) GUI apps.
Good setup guides.
Fast speeds

Cons: None

Overall, Mullvad is amoung my most highly rated VPNs and I recommend using it for any type of VPN user. I’ve played FPS games like Battlefield 4 with it, and MMOs like World of Warcraft.

Port forwarding is gone. Please update your review.
Several servers are also going offline this month, losing non-US/EU countries from the list.

A big Con, and a deal-killer for many: Virtually impossible on Mullvad to stream videos using geolocation spoofing.

A slight con for me is the absence of a kill switch (Windows/Android) wish it had that like Nord does.

yeah because I’ve had the same exact experience with those VPNs also. each review is specific to and correct for the VPN i say I’m reviewing.

Mullvad got kill switch, but you don’t see it, because you can not deactivate it. It’s always active.
