Manual VPN configuration on iPhone

Hello. I am done trying VPN apps available on the Apple App Store; they all are useless in some way. Since Apple provides an option to configure a personal VPN within the iPhone, I think I should utilize this option and configure my own VPN.

I have tried it, and it worked. However, for the server addresses, I was using vpngate.net and freevpn4you.net. There is only one server with better speed and a top location, which is Japan’s address in the L2TP category, but it doesn’t open Google and some other websites.

When I use the United States’ address, it doesn’t work that well. What’s the solution? Where can I find a better US address to configure my VPN?

Paid VPNs offer the same thing as VPNGate. In the account, you can download the config of any country and download it along with certificates for any protocol. I connected three devices through OpenVPN using NordVPN and Surfshark configs (I’m used to these). I use Nord because they have 2.5 times more servers than Surfshark, so their speed is higher.

Rent a VPS and setup your own VPN server.

I don’t want to spend any money :joy:
