Is it possible to access to a specific IP address using a VPN?

Just curious about it!

What are you trying to accomplish here?

Not to sound condescending, but have you tried accessing that specific IP while your VPN is active?

If the IP is local to your network, as stated in your comment, the answer is yes and no. If the application you are using to connect to the VPN Provider allows local network access, then yes.

We’re still not clear on what you’re trying to accomplish.

Maybe OP is talking about split tunneling.

Is it possible to access to a specific IP address using a VPN?

Yes it is. Look into the “Advanced Routing” or “Split Tunnel” type of feature in a VPN. The VPN I use myself has an “Advanced Routing” where I can type in a specific IP address / IP Network and decide if I want to ONLY do a VPN to this, or make it skip the VPN altogether.

No, VPN throws TCP/IP out the window since they’re obsolete concepts.

Your question isn’t clear. Could you please provide an example?

I have the same issue. My university bought a service that I can only access on campus. I’m on break and I wanna set my IP to my University’s ip

I just want to make clear that the IP address is the one that has my router. So I know what’s the number

what kind of specific IP? In your local LAN? It must be!!!

Well just enable lan access inside settings of almost all major vpn providers and you will be able to do it, if not you can’t. As for the security risks you can guess…

sorry to ask, but may i ask if u managed to do this?

so you want to route your ip address to the vpn back to your ip address, and then into whatever you’re connecting? or you want to make a local mac address?? what are you trying to do here?
