Free VPN recommendation?

Backstory - So, our government cut off internet service for 4/5 days because there was a protest and they (the police) killed more than 250 unarmed students. Now they turned internet service back on with limited bandwidth and blocked all social media.

Can you guys suggest me any free vpn that can be used to bypass the government ban and is not super slow? I know I shouldn’t use free vpns but I really need to talk to my friends and family.

Proton VPN…theres nothing safer than that if youre going free mode…

Proton VPN

1.1.1.1 + Warp

Windscribe (10gb/month for account users)

Honorable mention but slow in daily use: TOR Browser

I’ll mention in increasing order of their effectiveness and decreasing order of their simplicity:

  • Warp
  • ProtonVPN
  • TOR

If you’ve a broadband connection, you should also change your DNS address to these:

##DNS
###IPv4
Primary: 1.1.1.2
Secondary: 1.0.0.2
Tertiary: 94.140.14.14
Quaternary: 94.140.15.15

###IPv6
Primary: 2606:4700:4700::1112
Secondary: 2606:4700:4700::1002
Tertiary: 2a10:50c0::ad1:ff
Quaternary: 2a10:50c0::ad2:ff

——x——

###NTP
Server 1: time.cloudflare.com
Server 2: pool.ntp.org

Proton is pretty nice

Ive tried OpenVPN aswell but that requires you to configure the script and stuffs past i think it was 1.6 or something.

Thank you all for the recommendations

Stay safe G Dhaka is on fire rn

Orbot (Tor for android)

Hiddify - you need to find some free configs for this

Psiphon Vpn can help you bypass internet restrictions and access content securely. Give it a try!

Stay safe brother, Bangladesh is getting crazy sad :frowning:

Use proton vpn, if proton doesn’t work switch the protocol to wire guard TCP it’s hard to detect even for my mobile service provider who block vpns

Stay safe, genuinely did not know this was going on. How come things like this do not get the attention they deserve in the news? Thanks for making us aware of this problem, again, stay safe!

Ah brother ,we live in the same country . For those who want to know it’s in Bangladesh !!!

ExpressVPN and ASUS have a partnership currently and allow a finite amount of 90 day trials at UTC 00:00 everyday. It lasts roughly 5 minutes before it’s exhausted but that’s plenty of time to make an account if you’re on time. I don’t have the link on hand but you can easily find it.

Wow it’s really amazing his this post didn’t get hate at all. For some reason in r/piratedgames whenever someone posts something like that people go crazy

Honestly, Proton is fantastic. Worth paying for IMO. $10 a month to keep my ISP off my back is worth it. No P2P connections on the free VPN FYI.

Use Nekoray with free proxy. Speed is insane

Could try Tor browser for this case. Tor Project | Download

@cronos_47 Where did these 250 killings happen?

Sorry, if it is a free VPN, then there should be no other free VPN that you can trust except ProtonVPN, which everyone recommends. Never use free indiscriminately, free ones are the most expensive, and those so-called free VPNs are basically spyware controlled by the Chinese government.

Also, don’t use a called ExpressVPN because it is controlled by a Chinese company. In short, it is a company controlled by the Chinese government.

When you decide that you need to use a VPN for a long time, you should browse some trustworthy VPN introduction websites so that you can choose the VPN software that is most suitable for you.
