Does anyone know if the iPhone built in VPN is good?
It depends on the profile you install. The VPN itself isn’t built in.
You either need to have a 3rd party app or to know the server details you’re connecting too.
The iPhone does not have a built in VPN. You have to find or build one and install it on your phone. The VPN setting then helps you control it.
I like your WiFi SSID
If anyone is following this thread, has apple included a VPN for the latest iOS? I’ve turned it on to see what happens and haven’t had any error messages saying no VPN installed?
your wifi name is an A+
It’s just a built in VPN client in IOS that allows you to connect to a VPN server. I would’t say it’s bad and supports different protocols such as L2TP, and IKEAv2 but not openvpn. Apple stopped supporting PPTP for good. I’d trust built-in VPN clients over proprietary VPN apps that consumer VPN services have as they’re full of vulnerabilities.
yeah like was already mentioned, that’s not a built in VPN. Although, iOS tends to be pretty great at preserving privacy, so it’s a bit surprising that they don’t have some encryption software already built in. Maybe it will come with a future update.
