There is a new ARG going g around and it is quite interesting. A mysterious vpn is asking different shorts YouTubers to sponsor them and weird things are happening to those who accept. I want to see matpat do a video on this. It’s been awhile since he’s covered an arg and I think this one is a god place to go back to that. Here is a channel that has started to go over this and has all the videos compiled in a playlist

But I have a theory of my own. The entire premise of the arg is shorts creators are getting replaced by clones. One entity is controlling everything. There is only one youtuber I know that his entire channel is about cloning people. Coby Persin. Think about it. Just a few months ago he got really popular from “cloning” people now there is an entire YouTube arg about that specific premise. Because Coby isn’t just on YouTube I wouldn’t be surprised if tiktokers started getting replaced by clones. Joe Caine (one of the shorts YouTubers involved in the ARG) even used one of cobys videos in an episode of speed running shorts. Joe explained the cloning process. It all adds up. But what do you guys think.

EDIT: also I found something else. In the same video that joe uses the coby clip he talks about cloning right before that. He talks about a clip (from another YouTubers in the ARG) that says “cloning is real” joe says that theoretically cloning is real and we are close to it but we couldn’t clone the mind and emotions of someone. In the clone VPN ad on one of the YouTubers channels it talks about the disappear-reappear feature. Using clone vpn a content creator can go AWOL then reappear whenever they want, but when they come back they’re personalities are changed drastically. And right after joe talk about the coby persin clip his screen starts glitching and a clone of him starts appearing randomly finishing his sentences.

You can barely Call it an arg when you’re literally spoon fed the “lore”.

Well don’t all args give you some more upfront? We don’t know what is going to happen in the future of it. Also it’s super recent so all we have right now is just the base stuff. We don’t have all the lore. At least that’s just me tho

You’re talking like this is going to be a long drawn out “arg” that takes years to finish when in reality it’ll probably be done in a week or 2
Also the lore is pretty clear and I haven’t even “researched” anything. The lore is the shorts youtubers are being cloned

You’re right. It probably is going to be very short. All I’m saying is that yes we do have a lot of the lore up front already that’s true, but there is a lot we don’t know. An arg doesn’t have to be the biggest thing. It can be small and easy to solve. It is easy to put this together but it’s still fun. When it comes down to it that’s really all that matters in an arg. Was it fun to solve. That’s really what it comes down to. I don’t think it will turn into this big thing all I’m saying is that it’s an interesting story. Everyone is entitled to their own opinion and some might not see it as an arg and that’s totally fine. I just think that it’s a fun thing to try and solve.
