Just got MLB.tv, can anyone verify it works? I currently only have an iPad and iPhone. Or any recommendations on a vpn network?
I used https://www.unblock-us.com/ last year to watch mlb.tv on my laptop from “Canada”. You change your dns entries to point to their dns servers then you can use their web interface to update your location as you “travel”. $5 / month or if you get a year it ameliorates closer to $4. We’re playing into November so it might be good to get the year, but I haven’t done the math. Ok, did the math, monthly is cheaper by a few bucks.
OP was asking about iphone and ipad: I didn’t set those up so I’m not sure on setup but the website walks you through it and shows that they support those platforms so I suspect it will work.
IPVanish did not work for me - learned hard way yesterday - looking forward to hearing responses
If you get a VPN to work then let me know, don’t care if it’s a subscription.
Currently looking for a VPN since I just got MLB.tv. I used Unblock-us last year, and it worked pretty well. Worked on my PC, and worked 80% of the time on my PS4. Willing to pay for one that works consistently on both.
Maybe this might be better over on r/baseball what-with a larger audience, but maybe a post about which VPN’s work or doesn’t work with MLB.tv might be helpful for all. I have a lifetime ProXPN subscription and it does precisely jack-squat. Had to use unlocator last year.
PIA private internet access. Have to set the location to Canada, but it works
The VPN I use both for my school wifi and to watch Dodger games (I live in Vegas) is Betternet. It’s free, I don’t think there’s a caveat of any sort as far as I can tell.
Yeah. I need a VPN too. Tried Ad Free Time and doesn’t work.

I’m hearing IPVanish is the best one. It’s usually worth trying a couple times before calling it a fail, fwiw.
Use http://www.unlocator.com to watch the game.
Good to know, I was going to try it out since it’s so cheap.
I have been using this since TWC won the rights and have had no problems up until I changed my router. My new router won’t allow me to change the DNS so I changed it on the xbox.
Did not try it on iPhone. You can check their website to see if it’s compatible.
iPhones rely on GPS so you’ll need to run a locationfaker on a jailbroken phone.
Actually idk if it doesn’t work. I just don’t know how to use a VPN but I did pay $2 lmao.
You can either set it up on your router itself, or on a specific device. I set Unblock-US up on my PS4 and it worked.
