riseup vpn, proton vpn
windscribe. Proton VPN is also a valid choice but you’re stuck with 3 countries and like a few servers
If you want to be secure, go for Tor. If you just need a VPN to watch Netflix or similar, go with any free VPN. If you need a VPN to connect to your lab or something similar, use OpenVPN.
Proton VPN. It does not has cap on data usage. You can’t just torrent. Other things it works fine.
I used Windscribe’s free service for a while. You get 10GB(I think) you just have to jump through a hoop of tweeting about them to get it.
Have a look on this …

tor is no more secure then any VPN or proxy
Tor is inherently more secure than VPNs because it uses multiple nodes to anonymize traffic, preventing any single point from seeing both your identity and your destination. In contrast, a VPN routes all your data through a single server, which means that if that server is compromised, your privacy is at risk. What’s more, many VPN companies don’t store your data securely and may be happy to hand it over to any government on demand. Don’t trust the marketing scams from NordVPN and co.
anonymity and security are not the same thing
True. But from a security perspective, a standard VPN encrypts your data between your device and the VPN server, protecting it from local eavesdroppers on open Wi-Fi networks or unsecured connections. However, once your data reaches the VPN server, it’s decrypted and then sent to its destination, exposing it to potential risks if the VPN provider is compromised, malicious or forced to share data. This creates a single point of vulnerability. A Tor’s layered encryption model provides stronger security by encrypting your data at every relay point in the network. Even if a relay node is compromised, it will only reveal information about the previous and next node, not the full path or content of your data. This layered encryption means that even a successful attack on a node will reveal minimal information, as each node only handles a fragment of the complete circuit.

So back to your stuff, your point was that Tor is no more secure than a basic VPN or proxy. This is wrong.
