$94 (plus tax) For 2 Years of NordVPN and Nordpass Premium - Good Deal?

My NordVPN subscription is set to expire in late October. Nord sent me a deal for 2 years of VPN service for $70 plus 2 years of NordPass Premium for $24. I rely on both services. The offer is good for 5 days. Is this offer worth taking, or should I hold out for a better deal? Thanks!

I’ve been on Nord for years. Happy with it. Even going to get a dedicated IP once I get fully moved

I say the 70$ is worth.
Regarding the nordpass I would say no as I like another brand which offers the same if not better security and cheaper… But the question is subjective… It could be worth it for you.

It’s ok. Seems like a fair price. Personally I find the value better of Revolut plans that includes various plans of Nord - if it’s offered in your country.

Bitwarden is a ton better for like $10 per year, but with a completely usable free version. 1Password is more expensive, but definitely better than both.

The price for vpn is definitely worth it.

Check out Newegg first. It sometimes has very good deals on NordVPN. I just switch from ExpressVPN and have no complaints.

If you have MicroCenter nearby, they sell 3 year deals for $99. Best deal I’ve found.

This deal is horse-crap and will renew at $166.68 USD per year: https://my.nordaccount.com/legal/pricing/

They will do it early too so make sure you dont “accidentally” cancel before then.

you can find cashback and coupons everywhere with simple searches online

Just to follow-up; I took advantage of the offer yesterday. 2 years of NordVPN and NordPass Premium for just over $100 after taxes, was a good deal to me. I tried out Bitwarden and decided to stick with NP Premium because my family uses NordPass and we share info through it. I used a credit card that will expire at the end of 2024 AND disabled auto-renew via the Nord website immediately after extending my subscriptions. Thanks again to all that offered their feedback!

Thanks for your feedback. Which password manager do you recommend?

I’ve just replaced Dashlane with Bitwarden for my password keeper app…price was getting bumped ridiculously…Bitwarden free is excellent.

Thanks for the information.

Thanks for the information. There is a Microcenter near me.

I disabled auto-renew last year. Thanks for the heads up.

“All our paid Services are provided on a Subscription basis. This means that the provision of the Services will auto-renew at the end of the current Subscription period, unless you cancel it before the auto-renewal.”

Please note that as mentioned in our >Terms of Service<, we have earlier charges for our long-term plans to ensure that you can use the services continuously. This will prevent unsecured browsing in case the subscription fails to renew once the services expire.

Yeah, the early automated withdrawal of $166,68 a month earlier than anticipated, (all just for our convenience of not having the service interrupted) is deliberately structured to keep people locked in. I have battled with their insufferable policy pointing service personnel all morning, they are infuriating to be honest, I should post the correspondence here to allow others a glimpse as to what to expect should issue arise.

I’m actually walking today from them, the suggestions on here are reassuring to bountiful more affordable options.

Purchasing NordVPN vouchers from MicroCenter is how I get away with this. They are stackable and don’t require having a credit card on file.

Bitwarden is good, there is free version but also a paid version… The paid version has basically everything I need and the price is crazy good.

Get a VPN that does not sponsor youtubers. They dont do this type of crap because they actually make money on normal subscriptions (which are also cheaper than nord) because they dont need to pay 100% rev share to youtubers. Nord only makes money when you forget to cancel their insane renewals because they lose money on these “deals”.

I recommend windscribe (I switched to it nord a long time ago), or proton, mullvad or ivpn. All good VPNs.

Many thanks. Any suggestions for a password manager? I’m lumped in on my current nord subscription & won’t be renewing, now that I fought tooth & nail to get the premature automated payment cancelled.
