I don’t know but at least amazon seems to block connections if you use a VPN. During the cyber Monday week i can reach it perfectly though. Maybe some other websites are starting to block connections from vpn‘s too for whatever reason.
This means that the site is blocking your use of a VPN, more specifically the ISP. Lots of sites doing it now bc fuck your privacy.
Sorry for the late response, but I just got started using NordVPN and I also had some problems accessing certain sites. All my problems, however, was solved by disabling CyberSec, so you might want to give that a try. I had the exact same error as you, when trying to access yandex.com, but after disabling CyberSec it works without any problems.
I understand that error.
But when I was using TunnerBear or Speedify I was able to reach Yandex with no issue.
So I checked nslookup and here is the issue:
Without VPN:
Default Server: google-public-dns-a.google.com
Address: 8.8.8.8
> yandex.com
Server: google-public-dns-a.google.com
Address: 8.8.8.8
Non-authoritative answer:
Name: yandex.com
Addresses: 2a02:6b8::11:11
213.180.204.62
With NordVPN
Default Server: UnKnown
Address: 103.86.99.99
> yandex.com
Server: UnKnown
Address: 103.86.99.99
Non-authoritative answer:
Name: yandex.com
**Address: 127.0.0.1**
I tried to change DNS to google or something else but it doesn’t work.
Wouldn’t disabling this feature somewhat defeat the purpose to protect you and your data? Curious myself as i am unable to reach some sites with the current config and looking for resolution.
Yes and no. CyberSec is NordVPNs advanced adblocker, only problem is that it’s a little too good, and you don’t really have any way of whitelist sites. I dunno the exact workings behind it and I’m sure there are much more to it then just that, but IMO you could disable CyberSec, install uBlock Origin and be just as safe as you would be with CyberSec enabled.
