I have fairly fast wifi that works well on all my devices expect when I turn on my Cisco any connect vpn for work and then it goes down to about 1 mbps. It’s been incredibly frustrating and makes WFH complicated with my company IT support not being much of a help. I saw on a different thread that turning off XFi security helped other people but that functionality already was off.
Any ideas on how to bring my work computer up to speed?

If turning on the vpn slows down speed on just that device and not others then it would be the vpn endpoint that’s congested.
Try connecting early in the morning when no one is there and see if speeds are better.
Also check that your on 5ghz wifi or directly connected via Ethernet.
u/p-schmitty Thanks for the post. So far, the service is working well if the other devices are fast and connected securely. The experience points to the VPN, and any settings on the PC. There’s only so much we can do if the service is running well and it’s isolated to the device, but we can provide some tips. Connecting with a VPN on a wired connection would be better than WiFi. My connection goes from 500 Mbps to about 90 Mbps if wireless, so I like to hardwire for best performance. See if you can also set all the settings to default on the PC and VPN software. Another option is obtaining your own gateway or router. You can put the Xfinity modem in Bridge Mode to use your own router, and manage the network yourself.
