Which VPNs Are working in russia?

I am going to russia this month and i need a VPN to use Apps like Instagram, Snapchat, TikTok and more. Can someone recommend a good working vpn? Especially for the apps i mentioned above.

There is a binch of free vpns for the phone and for the browser. All of those I tried - worked.

For example, sandvpn works, but the best option is to rent a VPS and install your own VPN server there.

I use antizapret, as chrome addon for pc and openVPN profile for mobile. Free and easy and specially tailored for roskomnadzor’s bullshit list of forbidden sites

i heard it is too region+provider dependant to recommend one, trying first 10 vpns you get by searching “vpn” in google play on the spot is much easier

long ago turbo vpn used to work, now there’s planet vpn and super vpn

I dont know if it’s provider dependent or not, I use VPN from Stolitomson VPN in GooglePlay.

TikTok works fine, everyone here has YouTube premium (no ads). Don’t think anybody uses Snapchat here so it’s probably fine. Instagram, Facebook and Twitter are banned together with some news sites. Some sites might have restricted access for russian IPs (like bbc). Otherwise it’s all good.

Easiest (and cheapest - I’ve set up mine for only 260 rur/m) way is to set up your own VPS server together with wireguard (some ISPs have it banned for phones but you can bypass it with AmneziaWG by adding some trash packets).

I have the Problem that tiktok is only the russian Version so Same App but other content and i cant as an example watch American tiktoks

But if I just Travel there and try to use my apps there, which i downloaded in my country without vpn Will they just be locked or would they work because I downloaded them here in Germany?

Try using web version with VPN.

Should i set up my vpn before travelling or does it Not matter? Because I use iPhone and I don’t know if the AppStore Will be locked if i dont set up my vpn before
