Windows Defender or Bitdefender for AV.

As far as Free VPN that is good, no such thing exists because it compromises too heavily on your privacy. I don’t think I would ever recommend a free VPN.

Kaspersky free and Bitdefender free are really good free av’s.

Also you can get a free second opinion scanner like:

Hitman pro isn’t free but you can get a 30 day trial.
When trial expires you still will be able to scan but it won’t remove malware it finds anymore

Proton VPN is pretty good. Its open source and has no-log policy. Free version has servers in 3 countries: USA, Netherlands and Japan and unlike in many other free options there in no daily or monthly gb limit.

I never understand why people say windows defender , it doesn’t seem that good.
