I want to be able to put everything through a VPN service including remote access for Plex. I’ve read different things but not sure what works well for you all. I’m in the USA fwiw. Looking to get a whole home VPN that can be used as also with Plex remote access. Something like Nord or express.

Meshing option on Nordvpn should work. Haven’t tried it though.
Your isp won’t know what you’re doing regarding playing plex remotely. Going through plex.tv will setup a tunnel.
The only real concern is linking your ip to torrenting. Solution for that is to use newsgroups instead or a Socks5 proxy

Does wireguard encrypt all your data like express VPN and nordvpn? Looking to get a whole home VPN that can be used as also with Plex remote access.
I love WireGuard…most of the time. I wish their iOS app was more robust

So how is this different from things like nordvpn, pia, or express VPN? I thought I would need a second server to encrypt incoming data so my ISP can’t see what I’m doing
Plex’s streams are already encrypted

If you just want remote access you can host it for free. If you are looking to do some questionable activities and run that thru a vpn I would recommend a vpn that uses WireGuard and gluten vpn in docker. Then you can setup containers to use vpn if so desired

Are you worried about the Plex traffic to your network though or traffic going elsewhere. You need a vpn service for the later. If you want to just encrypt traffic from say your phone to home. WireGuard is best if you take time to setup. Tailscale is also good but I have had issues with it dropping connection when cell hops towers.
