that works on iPhone and MacBook?
Please only recommend what you tried yourself in the last couple of weeks. I know that the big players (NordVPN, ExpressVPN etc.) don’t work, so it’s harder than you might imagine especially if you never been to .
You gotta buy a proxy and set it up urself. bing52.com is a decent source which I am currently using. Use shadowrocket for iPhone and v2ray for Mac to set up proxy

Worked well the whole year without any issue 
HetaoCloud (dash.hetao.pro) worked well for me the whole year. They offer permanent plan (which only expire when you used up all the data) for as low as $7, great deal for low usage user who doesn’t want to pay on a monthly basis.

Duyaoss.com regularly reviews various shadowsocks/trojan/v2ray providers. Best? Probably nexitally or amytelecom, but there are cheaper options.
Roll your own shadowsocks or vmess server. It’s the only guaranteed way to securely connect that isn’t shady or give you a lot of headaches.
Arent these shady? I find it a lot of websites are selling the proxy.

Astrill works but the connection is slow. Also I find myself having to constantly switch between servers because it’s too damn slow or just stops working. Pricey as well. But hey it works in China.
