Is it possible to use a vpn on Xbox? I’ve tried looking into it and tried mediastreamer but couldn’t really figure it out as I’m trying to access American Netflix along with another streaming service

You can’t run any VPN on an Xbox. The only possible way is to run the VPN on your router and then connect the Xbox to it.
For American Netflix, mediastreamer will work just fine. Set it up on your Xbox, register your IP, and then stream away.
Yeah, I have an XBox and it doesn’t work. I share my laptop’s connection to make Netflix work. But that too stopped working recently.
XBox has hardcoded DNS, so if it does not work with ExpressVPN’s MediaStreamer service, the next option would be setting up a virtual router using your Windows device or Mac, or a router where you can install the ExpressVPN firmware on it.
I tried setting it up on my Xbox but it just wasn’t doing anything and I couldn’t figure out what I was doing wrong
Did you register your IP address on the website?
OK, theoretically it should work now. Maybe restart the Xbox.
I tried that, it came up with a message saying my internet was all good but then nothing happend, I tried restarting it and loading Netflix but still nothing
So, what exactly do you mean by nothing happened? Does Netflix load or not load? If it loads, then does it load the local library?
Ha sorry I should’ve specified, when I try loading onto Netflix multiple error codes show up, when I press try again it allows me to select my account and load on but non of the shows are actually there, they just appear as grey rectangles but it still says top 10 in the US so It’s saying I’m in the us, it’s just not loading by the looks of it
A prompt to reload it came up and now I’m in the uk Netflix
I think I know the issue. And it’s partly my fault for not realizing this earlier but mediastreamer doesn’t work with Netflix+Xbox. You definitely need a VPN on the router. But the good news is that if you watch Hulu or HBO Max in the USA, those should work. Just not Netflix.
