VPN blockers?

I’ve noticed more and more websites won’t let me use my VPN anymore. Just everyday web sights like Facebook and YouTube

Is anyone else having this problem? Have big companies started to block VPN usage?

a) They always did it. b) I don’t have such problems.

Blame your VPN for being greedy in using the same grimy IPs and data centers for years. If you’re blocked somewhere or stuck in a ‘captcha hell’, maybe it’s time to swap out your VPN.

Unfortunately, such things are not taken into account in VPN ratings; this will have a bad effect on the PR of so-called “top-tier VPNs”. They’ll keep telling you: “don’t use socials” “use duckduckgo”. lmao

a vpn is a “virtual ip” similar to how your ip would look if
you were browsing from an office with thousands of pcs.
so every website knows you are virtual, so they then try
to distinguish between someone actually on a corp wan
to those like vpn’s pretending to appear like a corp wan.
keep in mind most vpn brands are just reselling access
to groups of much bigger vps hosting companies, so the
ip’s being used by dozens of vpn resellers are the same.
if a site does not want vpn users, it’s easy to block them.
the question to ask is why? forums block as they do not
want banned posters back. streams block because they
do not want other country viewing what is not licensed.
social media knows bots use vpns, so they block them.

Check out the Deeper Network devices. You won’t have this problem with them.

I Would say, Instead of Using “Best Location”, Pick a location manually, switch among different ones regularly.

Yeah, but it’s mostly 2nd tier websites that have delegated their cybersecurity (or fraud detection) to a service that they don’t understand.

I have a virtual machine that has no VPN so I can connect to those several garbage websites.

Nah I could use my vpn on all my usual browsing and shopping and had no problems until this month

What changed?

There’s no such thing as virtual IP. Websites cannot know you are on VPN unless they flagged VPNs ip addresses previously. I believe there are companies that sell VPN blocking as a service to internet companies. It is so common now.

Yeah it wasn’t doing it before tho, it just started like this month

Are vpn blockers common now?
It’s built to protect my information, I don’t see the point in blocking it

Unless they want to steal my information
Hmmmm

The host service has been outed. Like areafix said they must not be switching host services often because yours is now on a block/ban list. Try to connect to another server or get a new vpn.

I don’t like it. Cybercrime is high, I buy shit online. Is it too much to ask to protect my money and personal information?

Or you know, the host name

because those services have flagged the IPs.

it’s possible that those services are lobbied to block uncooperative VPN networks.

Facebook is famous for that

I didn’t think it mattered
Idk I just hit “best location” and start

I’ll keep in mind to use the same location tho
That’s what your saying right?

He’s saying the complete opposite: if you always connect to the same location, and that location’s IP has been banned, you won’t be able to use the service you want to reach. So it might be useful to test single locations - not using quick connect - and see which ones actually work.
