Has anyone found a solution to looping files? I get good speeds 150+, but the installer stops on a file, speed goes to 0, and the bar and size count’s return to before it had started downloading (8.22 GB back to 600 mb for example). Using a VPN and no defender plus running as admin. I’ve already tried limiting the network (to 40 mbit/s) but it still looped on a file.
Edit: For anyone finding this thread here’s what worked for me
To avoid loops I had to limit the download rate using Netlimiter, 16 Mbit for most files, this seemed to be caused by an overworked HDD (have read it happens in SSDs as well but I have no idea about that). A tip I found if you have the time. For FS-base which is like 45 GB you can disable the limit as long as you’re keeping an eye on your HDD occupancy, as soon as it hits 100% you have to enable the limiter again until the use goes back down to normal. As long as you keep doing that, you can download at good speeds, without the limiter I was getting 100-180 Mbit/s. That only really worked for fs-base or other large files as the many liveries and such overload the HDD by downloading and decompressing simultaneously.
I was downloading as admin, without Defender and with no VPN, the only thing that seemed to actually work was the Netlimiter thing.

Non vpn and ranges from 160-220 on the update. Always thought it was odd that there were such vastly different download speeds just based on location.
Not helped at all yesterday. Mine download were like 100-150 Mbit/s with an 250 Mbit/s bandwidth and even after the update finished my friend had like 4-25 Mbit/s all the time. What kind of random generator do they use? Took like 2 hours to install the update and he also tried using a VPN, nothing worked. Therefore he has not the opportunity to fly to a IVAO Training. Thanks Microsoft for those stupid slow forced updates.

I tried this trick yesterday - Cloudflare Warp came in clutch, and it’s free if you don’t already have a VPN subscription. Was getting like 300+Mbps down.

If running via a VPN increases your speeds you have one or two things going on.
1.) Your internet provider is throttling your connection, happens all the time, especially with ATT and other shared bandwidth home broadband services.
2.) There is something local to you that is causing slower speeds, it could be your ISP, routing, or even load on your local region’s servers, which can be in Azure and/or AWS.
I had download speed issue on my first install. After a new Windows install speed was normal.
I pull 340 without a vpn 
For what reason? There’s absolutely no need for a VPN for msfs and you’ll never find one open enough to give you a fast connection
I used surfshark. Downloaded it in 5 mins in southflorida at 7pm
There are reports that warp 1.1.1.1 also helps.
