I am an Unlimited member, when I connect on iOS to the “Fastest” servers, I am connected to USA servers via Iceland, Sweden or Switzerland. These are tagged as “Plus Servers” I know there are dozens of USA servers, but I cannot display or choose them. How can I see these other servers on iOS. As I travel across the USA, a physically local server to my location may provide better service.
I’m about to subscribe to ProtonVPN. and looked at the list for servers in US. I couldn’t find any in my state, California. when I’m in Europe next month will I be able to connect to my US streaming services like Xfinity.
Turn off Secure Core?
You cannot use secure core with every server. Turn secure core off and select any server you want.
Proton Server Locations List:
Expand the Country then search the webpage for the City you want. There will be several servers for each city listed non-sequentially.
You must be looking at the wrong list because there are multiple servers listed in Los Angeles and San Jose.
thank you. I searched again. and this time I see that. I wish this list had a different native sort.
Those are TWO CITIES! The number of servers is not the subject of my statement.
I searched for those two cities and Sacramento, but those two were the only cities that had P-VPN servers in California that I found.
Of course, they have multiple servers at those CDN sites! The P-VPN server list puts them in server number order, so they are not listed sequentially for cities; they are spread apart.
If you look up their locations in Maps apps, you will see that they are buried under ground at civic centers (ie: at city halls or police stations).
But it is not guaranteed that you will be able to watch US content from abroad, streaming is a hit and miss. You won´t know until you try it, some services will work and others won´t.
Sorry. This was in response to what user Malcarada said, thinking that he was replying to what I said. But now, I see that he was replying to user Sterlingma1.
I had used Tunnel Bear free lint last fall and that was able to work, but before I decided pay for a subscription, I did more reading. Proton looks a lot more robust. But I’ll miss the graphic of the growling bear digging.
