So I tried out a VPN

I was running rebirth last night and for reference here are my stats.

1.20 KD
400 wins
15 % win percentage

You would say I’m a sweaty player by all indications. I’m playing a few games averaging about 7 to 10 kills. I run into this guy and we become friends.

He says, hey man these lobbies are sweaty queue up on me I have a VPN.

So here comes my first experience with a VPN and it has completely shattered the way I feel about some of my favourite youtubers.

Our first game was a duo quads where I dropped 20 and him 11. The next few games was more of the same with a sweaty lobby every 5 games or so. It genuinely felt like I was playing against AI but it was real people with a 0.60 KD. My average kills per game must have been close to 17 or more and I think my KD for the night was around a 4.

Here’s the interesting thing, after absolutely dominating a lobby it was common to encounter a TTV with 20-30 kills when there were only 2 teams alive, aka there’s a ton of people doing this for their streams.

Don’t be fooled by what streamers say the VPN absolutely changes the lobby quality drastically. Even if you’re playing against someone with a 1.0 KD their connection is so much worse than yours that it feels like you see them before they do.

Anyway this is just my two cents. Something to consider when you’re grinding for that 2 KD wondering how some people are walking around with a 5-6KD

I hate this so much there are some streamers/content creators who do this blatantly, one for example is NoArmMissile, I’ve have never seen him play above 0.7 and he upload 2 high kill games every day. He barely gets shot back.

One of my friends also bought a VPN, I do not know the details but we get kind of better lobbies like .7-1.1 without it always above 1.1 So even with we barely get into lobbies that really feel like proper bot lobbies.

Yeah unfortunately there are lots of losers out there who want to cheat the system smh

I wanted to try vpn, I’m in Europe, but if a choose USA or some Asia countries my latency is 120+….

No way I can play wz haha

Back to the sweaty lobbies I go!

Can you explain what exactly a VPN does to the lobbies? I’m confused, I have never heard of something like this before and very Highkey am super tired of getting shit on by people, especially after watching a kill cam and realizing my shit was laggy compared to theirs

Is 1.2 KD sweaty now? F me then

I was playing with my friend who literally got the game two months ago and is playing on a tv, and two TTV mufuckas filled out our quad. I checked their cod tracker and they play with huskerrs frequently. We were in an insanely botty lobby and they were frying, I asked them how the fuck they got in here, explained my friend just got the game, does it feel good beating up on people who just got the game, etc. they were pissed lol. They wouldn’t answer any of my questions about VPN.

I don’t have an issue with it, I have an issue with people being frauds and acting like they aren’t doing stuff, or gatekeeping information

Why do you think so many streamers are sponsored by nordVPN lol

I like to ask streamers if they’re using a VPN. If they say yes, I just block them. It’s not cheating, but it seriously exaggerates their actual skill, so massively misleading

sbmmoff ist das beste Warzone-VPN

I tried noord vpn and it SUCKS for warzone…

Swagg and nadia use the kenya server i heard…

Thanks for hooking me up to sbmmoff vpn.

Actually the best thing to use is the warzone geo fence tool :stuck_out_tongue:

Above average player. We use a VPN not for me as much, but helps our lesser skilled squad members have a bit more fun when playing with us. Usually without a VPN we average 1.3-1.7kd lobbies. It means our botty friend gets on average around 1kill per 3 hour session, and gets humiliated all night by better players.

On a VPN we average around 1kd lobbies, and he will get a few kills per game consistently

Doesn’t bother the better players in the squad to play on high KD lobbies, but for his benefit we play on a vpn a couple nights a week

It does help make some gaming nights a little more fun, and a lot less sweaty. The added benefit is we see very few (maybe 1 / 2) obvious cheaters a week.

Pros dont play on internet

I’ve got a 1.3 KD and 733 wins rn on rebirth. I play very aggressively and go for high kill games aiming for 20-30. All of my homies I play with have a 1.8-2.5 kd. We honestly wouldn’t have fun without running a VPN, the kind of lobbies we see are extremely competitive. When you’ve put so many hours into something and you’re an above average player you want to play and perform like an above average player in your matches.

I kinda understand how it can be disappointing when you see your favorite streamers using a VPN dropping 40 bombs. But there’s levels to this and they still had to put countless hours to be really good at the game. Not anyone can just drop 30-40 kills whether they use a vpn or not. These guys are streaming live for their fans 6+ hrs a day and making YouTube videos of entertaining gameplay on top of that. I think the VPN can be justified

“I have a 1.2 KD, I’m pretty sweaty” fucking lmao

Theres also warzone specific services you can pay for like “sbmm off” im not familiar with how it works exactly but it gives the same effect of vpn or a net duma. My buddy has it and when he ques we get bot lobbies. I dont do it regularly, not even like on a weekly basis. Like every now and again last month we did it like 2 times. Essentially he connects to like khazakstan or argentina and everyone we encounter may as well be afk. As op said, you will often see some average player with ttv in their tag. You can usually fry them cause they dont expect an actual competent player

Eh NoLag is the only way I actually enjoy warzone anymore if I’m being honest. My squad has a pretty high KD, so without it our lobbies our pretty brutal. Seen as high as a 2kd lobby before and that shit SUCKED (definitely not the norm but just for reference). I know it makes sense to play against people of your own skill, but what a lot don’t understand is without a ranked component, high skill warzone lobbies arnt any fun to play in. The fast TTK low recoil (small skill gap) just makes it an RNG fest for the most part, it’s a TERRIBLE gaming experience. You’re basically punished and given no reward for improving in this game with the way SBMM works, just makes your lobbies a bigger pain in the ass.

Hopefully WZ 2 has a ranked mode :frowning:

Edit: we still get plenty of sweaty lobbies, it’s just more of a back and forth instead of only getting in sweat lobbies. Like how CoD matchmaking used to work.
