Renewal Offers

Hi all,

My 3 years subscription with NordVPN is going to expire at the end of this month? Is there a way or is there something I can do where I can get another three subscription to the same discounted price I paid the first time? Thank you

I tried negotiating with them last time to no effect, so let my membership lapse (I just turned off auto-renewal in the billing section when you log in to their website). I intended to find another supplier, as there are plenty that offer a similar, decent service. After a break of a couple of weeks (I don’t use VPN much) I ended up re-joining Nord with the same email address for 24 months and saved $155 on what they were quoting for renewal.

I’m not sure if I could have done the same had the gap been 24 or 48 hours? I don’t know how long you have to away from them to qualify again as a “new” customer.

Many VPN companies offer a free trial, so if they insist on charging you more than a new customer, you could move to one of those, knowing you can always switch back at no cost if the perfomance doesn’t stack up.

Another option is to use a different email address for Nord. A bit of hassle, but worth it for the discount.

It’s a scurge of modern capitalism, at least here in the UK, that companies offer new customers much better deals than loyal ones. It’s the same for everything. Companies don’t seem to care about keeping loyal customers these days, only finding new ones.

I just went through the same thing. I waited a couple days past my expiration and was emailed an offer for two years at 2.89 a month. Just under 70 bucks total.

I took it - had a three day window to accept it.

I don’t think they offer three year plans anymore.

Good luck.

My 2 year plan is up for renewal. I logged on, went to billing > subscriptions so I could uncheck “auto renewal.” This offer was immediately splashed at me: “$99.00 billed for 30 months. Offer automatically activated when your current plan ends.”
This deal is not as good as the previous commenter, but advantage is there is no lapse in coverage and I don’t risk forgetting to renew.
I might still let the plan lapse to see what happens.

I already know you’re talking about Virgin Media lol, legend for taking the time to write all of that!!
