I bought a older chromebook recently and installed the chrome proton vpn extension and then noticed on the free tier it won’t let me change the server

This is weird as I know you can’t choose your server normally on the free tier but you could at least change servers

I’m curious why this isn’t an option on the chrome extension, I can’t install the app on this chromebook(doesn’t have the google play store) unfortunately so I need to use the chrome browser extension

Because it’s free. If you want to change servers you’ll have to upgrade. You can disconnect and hope reconnects in one of the other countries.

I think it was changed not too long ago on both the desktop client and extension to where you can’t choose from the couple of server locations proton offers anymore, it just chooses one at random
