PrivateVpn Review

I have been using PrivateVpn using their trial program for 7 days.

Here is a short review :-

Speed :-

Not Connected to vpn

Connected to nearest server

Germany

USA

Server Locations :- 100 servers in 60 countries.

Streaming :- I tried Netflix, Disney+, Amazon Prime and Hotstar and everything worked as expected. No buffering while streaming. This vpn offers huge no of streaming services. I tried Torguard, Surfshark and Nordvpn but this is the one which actually unblocked Hotstar streaming.

Torrent :- I was getting around 8-9 Mbps download speed and 5-6 Mbps upload speed while connected to nearest server and European servers which is same speed I get not connected to VPN.

Real Debrid :- Same speeds as torrent download. No buffering while streaming. Some of the IPs are blocked on Real Debrid. You need to get those IPs white listed yourself. Support wont help you in that.

DNS leak :- No DNS leaks.

Support :- Its very helpful and fast. You raise a ticket and withing 10 mins you get a reply. Live support is not available 27/7. When live support is offline you need to raise a ticket.

Refund Policy :- Reason for the refund needs to be provided! To qualify for a refund you need less than 100GB traffic used during the 30-days period.

Android and iOS app :- Android app is smooth like desktop app. Faced some minor issues with iOS app. But both apps are user friendly.

Price :- If you go to this link

Overall I am happy with their performance. I tried Torguard, Surfshark and NordVpn but this is the one which fits my requirements and also its the cheapest for 19.44$ with 13 months.

Things I found missing or to improve :-

  1. No wireGuard
  2. No 2FA
  3. App could be nicer look wise
  4. No 27/7 live support
  5. No Smart DNS

Edit :- Ranking of the vpn services I tried

  1. PrivateVpn
  2. Surfshark
  3. Torguard
  4. NordVpn

Edit 2 :-

A small tip. If you want to use it for streaming connect using L2TP or IKEv2. For torrenting or downloading use OpenVpn. If you want to use any other protocol than OpenVpn on windows then you need to change your DNS to 1.1.1.1 (cloudflare) else will cause a DNS leak.

The best vpns are fast for streaming and won’t leak your ip’s even if your internet is cut and carry no logs. Now most are pretty similiar so I went with whoever had the best deal, so I saved like around 70 percent off with this LINK

If they’re logging/recording traffic used I wonder what else they are doing

Hi I want to get the best one out there for streaming only. How is private working for you? Btw, just curious, what else you can do with a vpn?

Youtube helped me with the basic info. But what else I can do with the vpn on?

Thanks for the trial.

I want to be able to use Amazon Prime Canada from Europe on my tv.

How would I go about it using Private VPN?

Thanks for this review. Am currently trying them out now as well via 7 day trial. So far so good, one of the very few providers I’ve tried so far with an actual physical server in my country. Just wish they had split tunneling and Ikev2 on android mobile but no problem at all with connection/speeds.

Is it better than ExpressVPN

I can’t recommend these services it leaked my IP address and when I contacted support they had a solution but you shouldn’t have to go configuring everything I’ve used expressvpn for years with no issue hell even cactus VPN is better than this service

Is it better than ExpressVPN?

I’ve been using PrivadoVPN for over a year now, it came included with a NewsHosting deal. Most notable when I use the VPN compared to not using the VPN is an increase in newsgroups download speed from 9600Mbps (1.2MB/s) to 11200mbps (1.4MB/s) on a 14000/1000Mbps (1.75/0.125MB/s) plan. Plus it’s rock solid at 1.4MB/s instead of wavering between 1.2MB/s and 0.86MB/s (860KB/s).

Incidentally 14000/1000Mbps is WAY enough bandwidth to stream Netflix at high resolution on my 10th gen I3 laptop/HDMI/TV while downloading newsgroups at 1.4MB/s on my 3rd gen I3 (10yo!) desktop. Don’t be fooled into ‘more bandwidth is better’ unless you have more than 2 devices streaming…

they claim free trial but then try to charge you, don’t support this company

I didn’t get any money from them. Its my mistake to mark it as affiliate link. I will change it to referral link.
I tried it using 7 day trial.
Regarding windscribe I tried free version which gives 10gb data. But torrent download speed is slower compared to PrivateVpn in my case. So didn’t bother purchasing subscription.

what makes you say that they are?

So you can use vpn for streaming, downloading and accessing geo restricted content. Like Disney+ is not available worldwide but you can connect to usa server from a vpn and access it. Also on Netflix some content is geo restricted and you can access it using vpn. You can download torrents anonymously as your isp can’t see what you are doing on the internet.
As for privatevpn its really good for streaming. It has huge no of streaming websites support. You can go ahead with it. Try it for 7 days with the link I have shared in the post. If you like it you can subscribe to it. It’s just 19.44$ for 13 months.

In the post clearly states under refund policy “used less than 100gb”. So clearly logging something

Above in the post under refund policy. Need to have used less than 100Gb.

I was in same situation but then decided to go with PrivateVpn as it has better download speeds and unblocks hotstar which was must for me.

Windscribe was having 36$ 24 months sale on BF guess you missed it

What did you end up going with?
