I got Nordvpn before arriving here but it has not worked at all (tried using ikev2) but website says it is down. Is it possible to download a vpn here? If so how (if the links are blocked and everything)

Astrill works, but you have to get it in an unblocked environment first.
ExpressVPN frequently gets blocked for months but may have a few weeks every now and then unblocked, but it’s the same as Astrill, you have to get it first.

If you’re using an iPhone, all VPN apps available in the US will be available in the App Store as long as your phone’s region is set to America. Also, NordVPN is trash, especially for use in China.
Can you explain what you mean with you purchased a private server? Are you running Astrill on the server and connecting to the server or connecting to the server via astrill?

When you purchase Astrill vpn you can pay an extra fee for a private static IP address at a specific server of theirs. I purchased it because I work for a relatively high sensitive field and the work vpn and email access require me to only be in my home area with a static IP otherwise my work account will be locked. Because I purchased this and it’s private so less people can access this server and I feel it’s faster than say a normal server you get from only purchasing the base service. I can stream YouTube and other video streaming website without the occasionally stuttering when using other servers. Hope it helps.

Is this stable? Like do you experience outages from time to time. Have both astril and express and will be starting work soon. VPN reliability is driving me crazy.

No outage so far. Can stream Netflix YouTube etc with no hiccups.
Before you enter, or buy a plan on a PC that already has a VPN.
