I wish there was a way to effectively contact Luna vpn and let them know that all their users are waiting on them… at this point I’m willing to pay for this vpn if it’s a good price and they guarantee us no down time.
Let’s hope that they will fix it and make it work again. This has been broken for too long now.
Huh that’s really strange, so I guess this confirms that Luna VPN has not been taken down by google or some other tech giant bullying Luna, it’s just malfunctioning for iPhones.

Awesome, apparently the chrome browser app also has a very similar YouTube layout to the YouTube app and I’m not getting any ads while watching videos (I’m not using any vpns or adblocks) and on top of that we can make the videos play in the background while doing other things on the phone. Really good alternative!
Doesn’t matter how good they get, YouTube cancer ads will not win this war.

Hi Rynn21, we have implemented a fix that restores adblocking on YouTube. Note that after turning the VPN on, it may take some time before the YouTube adblocking goes into effect (up to 12 hours), but usually much shorter.
Alternatively, you may also delete / reinstall the YouTube app to force the VPN to immediately use the updated adblocking method, if you prefer.

Edit: tbh this is the longest they’ve been out, its possible Google took notice and either developed tough countermeasures or sent a cease and desist. Feds could’ve raided them too for all I know
It was caused after YouTube updated to v19.21.3
Yeah, you were replying to someone else who thought google had something to do with it so I checked their website and it’s not been taken down, and before jumping to conclusions I decided to do my own testing to verify.
I wouldn’t worry too much personally, this has happened before and the team quietly fixes it.

Glad I could help! The only real downside is you cannot search other videos while playing your current video in the background on the same app. My suggested workaround is while using brave for YouTube, put your video in background to play then go back to the official YouTube app and scroll through your other videos that you wanna look at but don’t click on them.
