I’ve saw this asked elsewhere but didnt get a straightforward answer. I know that when you log onto an account it will send the user a security notification that someone else logged in.
If using a vpn, would it send your actual address or the vpns ip in that notification? Also would it show device location or would that be vpn. Thanks!
It would see the VPN IP and location.
Unless using a mobile device, it would still use the VPN IP but potentially get the location from the device itself which could come from GPS/wifi.
It will show VPN address and location.
An example you are in Vegas USA ip 192.123.1 and you connect to VPN Washington ip 124.127.7.
it will show new log in as Washington USA 124.127.7
use ipleak this will show you also good to see if you are leaking details most people forget that ip6 can do this
