KeepSolid VPN Unlimited Question

What do you all know about the KeepSolid VPN Unlimited? It was on Stack Social for an excellent deal. The company is in the US. The founders are from Ukraine. They say they keep no logs, and they have a DNS app as well. I just want everyone’s feedback on this company if anyone uses it or if you think it’s safe to use. I have been running tests on it via bash. ws and some countries do significant others not so much. Anyways any info would be great because there is hardly anything about them online. thanks, everyone.

Being a USA based company - or any of the fourteen eyes - is a huge red flag in my book. I don’t care they keep saying they have a no logs policy, at the end of the day if the government wants to know what you’re doing they’ll find out.

We are looking at all sorts of options for VPN reviews. I saw someone mention KeepSolid in the mac subreddit so I wanted to see if anyone had any experience with it. Having a lifetime subscription is always nice but not if it’s shady. So we wanted to cover what you get when paying for one.

I agree. That’s why we wanted to point this out in the review. That just because it’s a lifetime deal does not make it the best option. My VPN of choice is Mullvad. My problem while working on this review of KeepSolid there is hardly anything about them online. Hard to research something that pretty much does not exist. They also make a Password manager. It seems like they are keeping up on the software in the app store and have been around for 7 years I think I remember. I am just looking for any hands-on experiences others have had with them. good or bad.

I’m a communications engineer, have been using the internet since 1991 and yes, am a little bit older than the average redditor… you gotta be so naive to think that the “eyes” don’t share information between law enforcement, spy agencies and governments. And there’s a fine line in so called “national threats”, like Glenn Greenwald’s partner David Miranda being detained in London under the terrorist act, or Kim Dotcom in New Zealand, or Cisco allowing backdoors to its servers, or Lavabit closing down because its refusal to turn encryption keys to the FBI… there are many examples out there where under the flag of “CP” or “Terrorism” the governments share information. And yes, if a VPN company based in USA, UK, Australia, etc receive a request to log the traffic and turn it in, do you really believe that the company is going to disclose that information if they were to lose millions of dollars?

I’ve been using it for years on the lifetime deal lol. Works great and I just use it to torrent - nothing else really. They can keep logs :wood: if they want. Don’t really mind for my purpose.

But if I actually want privacy, yes mullvad for sure

And I wouldn’t touch their password manager with my pole. lol.

Yes they will. If the government seizes the server or the streaming services take over it by court order they can be sued for millions. It happened in the case of direct tv and dishnetwork

Hey guys, sorry to intrude, but I learned IBM-DOS and MS-DOS in 1992 and then Windows 3.1 around 1994. I also upgraded to Windows 95 and now I’m using Windows 11. I don’t really know shit about programming, although I did have one college class that involved programming using a now-obsolete language called Modula-2.

My question to everyone here is: Does anyone think the NSA and/or 5-Eyes and/or 14-Eyes and other agencies are really focused on people who torrent and possibly download copyrighted material? I don’t think so, but perhaps I’m wrong? I could see them going after pedophiles, fugitives, terrorists and so on, but going after someone who downloads The Simpsons every week? Yes, I agree the NSA and 5-Eyes, etc., all have the POTENTIAL and ABILITY to monitor our activity on a VPN and even determine who we are, but I don’t think their focus is so short-sighted that they would go after that guy downloading The Simpsons.

Am I wrong?

I should have read this before I posted above! Great comment!
