Just curious if there is a way to test the CyberGhost service before fully committing to a subscription?
I don’t think their is a free version. I believe there is a trial. It’s a good and simple VPN to use. It isn’t based in either the 5/8 eyes countries, so no handing over of any of your info or data. They also have a no logs policy (most do anyway) plus they have great offers on. I think the best is 79.99 for 3 years and you can have up to 6 devices on your account.
Great for torrenting and streaming.
Don’t do it, nothing but problems with CG. Also there is no free version.
Windscribe or ProtonVPN are way better options
Yeah am using proton vpn free edition at the moment as a trial. For now it is going really well especially for a free service, i think i will be upgrading to the full service very soon.
Venders are really shooting themselves in the foot in terms of future sails if they don’t offer a free trial. It’s a big ask to shell out $70 and commit to 3 years for something you have never used or tested
Any VPN that wants $70 upfront is basically a scam, Proton falls into that category however they seem to have a solid product.
I am currently testing Mullvad and very happy with it, $5 for the month and there’s no auto renewal or long term contracts, just pay for as much time as you want when you are ready. I think I will stick with Mullvad over Windscribe for the time being.
Can Mullvad unblock most streaming services? I’m using Linux and have tried several vpn providers. Only PIA and Proton worked well in my distro. I haven’t tried Mullvad not sure how it gonna be. I’ve started subscription of Surfshark and found out that their app was horrible on linux. I had to ask for refund. Still looking for provider that is better than PIA. Currently I still stick to that one.
