Is BrightVPN a malware? Should I trust it to uninstall cleanly?

So I just reinstalled my OS and was downloading my regular toolset for torrents. Good thing I caught that I accidentally, like some sort of STD, caught BrightVPN, most likely through Daemontool installer. After a bit of googling I found that, well, it isn’t the most trustworthy thing in the world. I uninstalled it, but I gotta ask, is the uninstaller trustworthy? I won’t loose much work now, so would it be wise to just re-reinstall the OS again to make sure that thing is truly gone?

I also installed it but Kaspersky flagged it as Trojan horse I Uninstall it Immediately

I would download BrightVPN again, run the installer, disable internet access on the PC, and then immediately uninstall it with Revo Uninstaller. It catches leftover files that the uninstaller doesn’t delete, and then I think you’re good to go

Was really struggling with this but found a way here’s how to do it.

  1. For uninstalling use Bulk Crap Uninstaller then.

  2. Download Autorun which will detect the cmd code that runs when you boot up system, uncheck everything related to bright vpn.

  3. Done.

Ditto to that.
Since it didn’t show up, in my software list I did this:

  1. Install Bright Vpn (yes, get the official installer)
  2. Thoroughly uninstall it with Revo Uninstaller (removing all the Reg entries and stuff)
  3. Restart.

What’s comforting me in the idea that it was a malware is the fact that a few days ago after downloading some software a CMD window started popping on restart.

And after doing all that, now I get this.

I got the solution brother

You will need to use the autorun from Windows ,but version 13 ,here is the link

You will see on the logon tab the reg entry ,use it as admin and deleted

Just got rid of mine ,all works out

I got the exact same issue ,same cmd error on restart ,after doing everything to remove it ,dont even know how it got on my pc

Its a frensh install of windows gonna solve this ?
