How to make chrome allow Hola extension that ‘contains malware’
If you have Mac or Windows, you can try their desktop client.
For me, Windows client is not working properly but Mac client runs smoothly.
Personally I would suggest you to avoid using any service related to Hola and other free VPNs. This extension worked as a hidden botnet program which is why it has been removed by google from its store.
When you say windows client, do you mean Hola’s chromium browser?
There would be SOME free vpns I can use safely right? I’m broke and also don’t have a credit card
Nope. A software you install to your Windows machine and run the VPN.
1- Go to their download page
2- Click on Desktop Apps
3- Click on Windows
4- Download and install
I can understand your situation. But all the free vpn’s exploit its users. Some of them collect the data from its users and sell them, some use their application as botnet, some free vpn’s inject advertisements when its users are using their service. That is why it is not safe to use free VPN.
Have you tried using Tor Browser? Free VPN is built in Opera browser. You can use that too.
