So happy, I have been working on it for a couple of weeks now. After some issues with the publishing the app, I’ve finally released the Zoopedia on iOS and Android!! I built this app, because I was annoyed to switch all the time between trading and zoopedia. Now you can build a habitat with all the necessary information on the side, how awesome is that!
If you have any feedback, ideas or experiencing any bug in the app, please let me know! I’d be happy to build more feature into this app.
I’ve opened up a public repository with all the data for the animals. Do you see some incorrect data or would you like to add something to it. Please feel free to open up a pull request or create an issue on Github: https://github.com/olmobuining/zoopedia-data
Amazing! Just what I needed! (I think everyone did).
Great work!
Just a tiny request: a dark mode for the app would be amazing, since everything on my phone is in dark mode, this app being very white makes my eyes hurt ;).
Brilliant but I have a suggestion. Found out recently how much African elephant food cost. There seems to be no way of finding out how much food will cost till after you buy an animal. Would be amazing if you could add food prices in to your app
Great idea, unfortunately it’s not available in my country on the play store (Isle of Man) so will have to go through a vpn to try it so will give it a go later on.
Love the app, left a 5* rating! Here’s a very minor bug I noticed on iOS. The text on “guests can enter” overlaps. I’d also love to have some sort of filtration options in general.
Interesting what we happened regarding the use of copyrighted imagery but neat idea for sure. I feel like this is something Frontier could have released themselves, filled it with tonnes of store links and advertising. Enjoy your new job in the near future haha
One possible suggestion is to include whether any animals can share the same habitat and which animal they can share with. Just something I was using in the game zoopedia
As soon as I saw it was a paid app for Android (I know you were just trying to recoup cost), I figured it was going to be taken down. I’m glad you talked to Frontier and were able to work it out. This will come in handy, and I like that their habitat requirements are the first thing you see when you click an animal.
Love your ideas for future versions. Very much looking forward to #9, since it’s the first thing I thought of when I opened the app! Would be so handy to sort by smallest size requirements, when trying to fill up certain spaces…
I just downloaded the app and I already love it! My one suggestion is if you could add the exhibit animals maybe in a separate tab or something because I am constantly struggling to remember how many belong in an exhibit or what their lifespan is so I know when to replace them.
Brilliant! Only thing I can think of would be the habitat size if you had a full group of the animals, but I know there’s a website for that! Great work, will come in handy as I build my zoo!
I would download it, but i can’t seem to find it on the Google Store. Clicking the link wants me to sign in, even though i already am. I’m in the UK so that wouldn’t be the problem surely.
