File Uploaded w/ VPN and Download w/o

Hi all, I’m a complete noob with VPN, and was wondering if some of you veterans can maybe give me some pointers on something… Any help appreciated and thanks in advance!

So recently, I was told by a friend that sometime when you download a file that was originally uploaded with VPN, the file may contain either some hidden files you can’t see or with different file names if you download them without VPN. Is this true? And if so how are you able to see them without using VPN, and is there a way to edit them?

Your friend is talking complete nonsense.

Using a VPN doesn’t magically add or remove files to anything.

I see, because when I shared files with them, they showed me a ss where it looks like there are either some additional files or the same files but with completely different names…

Maybe I got trolled I don’t know, they can’t be bothered to elaborate.
