Does a static residential proxy is undetectable for websites? Or do I need a rotating residential proxy?
Static residential proxies can work if you’re sticking to one account or session, but they’re not completely undetectabl, depends on the site’s detection methods.
For more complex stuff or scraping, rotating residential proxies are way better. Oxylabs has solid options for both static and rotating proxies, and they’re super reliable.
Both are undetectable in the sense that the websites don’t see your IP. A rotating IP might present some issues if the website implements a form of “login security” where you have to authorize each new IP/browser/device as trusted.
I wouldn’t suggest a normal “static” one as it would would mostly be an “ISP proxy” which may give you problem depending on your use case.
Like i do surveys in usa server so for my hse case, i would never go with a normal “static” residential proxy as i would be getting a bad ISP proxy which is rejected by surveys mostly.
I would also not go with rotating residential proxy as that would again get me rejected and disqualified from surveys and my account may get banned as well.
What i use instead is a “sticky session” residential proxy from hproxy.com . It costs 2$/GB and gives me nearly unlimited IPs. Their sticky session last for upto 24 hours or even more as well.
I am using it to change the default country in an account which is not possible without proxy. In this case, a rotating one also does not work?
their website and support seems unprofessional, do you know anyone else giving unlimited sticky session ips but charging via data usage. i use very little usage but need lots of ips
The account is for which service?
Bro where did you learn this? This is bullshit. Trying to do it from normal chrome browser is like asking for your account to get in trouble.

See how shitty geonode is. Never go for it no matter what. Feels like some 11th grader made that.
i never mentioned geonode
Good luck. That’s all i can say. I have 0 idea for that.
The way for setting up your proxy has also been told by me already.
Pro tip: for your use case, a static residential proxy will work. It will be best.
Just told you. I was recommended it on reddit. It was a nightmare. Thank god only 4$ was wasted.
It was a lesson learned for me to not blindly trust recommendations here. Even that smartproxy or brightdata (though expensive) is better than this crap (I’ll forever curse that MF piece of shite who recommended me geonode)
Be careful of these recommendations. I feels some of them are fake/paid or something.
Will I get ban? Sticky and static is the same?
Sticky IP is a normal rotating residential IP coming from someone’s home(very important point) that will not rotate till it goes down or till your desired time limit is over.
Static IP is a full fledged server given by a business or a less popuplar ISP itself sometimes that is dedicated to the IP.
For example. A sticky IP is an IP from a dude’s home whose ISP is let’s say AT&T, or comcast LLC, or cox communications. These ISPs are wifi connections mainly so it might(albeit there is less chance of it happening) last 1-2 months.
Though if it is from an isp like T-Mobile (mobile/cellular data), then it will not last more than 1 day but it is very useful in ban evasion though.
T-mobile is the best ISP for our survey work as well. Very less chance of being rejected by survey routers due to blacklisting or low quality IP
A static IP on other hand will last you 6-10 months easy but the service you are using may detect it(thus negating its value). It will be from a business ISP. You will not be getting a static AT&T or static Verizon or static T-mobile.
