Hey. I’ve signed up with Surfshark as I read reviews that this is the best VPN service around, and the main reason I did it is to be able to watch Disney + when I travel. I have this for about 3 months and now Disney plus simply does not connect when I have the VPN on. I contacted support, which only gave me the usual instructions that I had already done prior to contacting: “try the extension, deactivate CleanWeb, clear the cache, change DNS address, etc, etc.”, - none of them worked. Disney+ quite simply does not open if I have the surfshark VPN on. I’ve also read to try different servers, but Surfshark only has one server from Brazil (which is the country I’m trying to stay in). I’ve tried other random servers like Chile, but they also don’t connect.
Does anyone can think of any other solutions? I really appreciate any help, if this doesn’t work I don’t know what to do, Surfshark doesn’t serve me anymore
You should be able to use all websites and streaming services when using a VPN, provided you are not violating the terms of the particular website or streaming service. If you’re using a mobile device it might be that the GPS is used by Disney+ to track your location. I can’t watch some sports on my iPhone because some apps require location settings to be on in order to view content. But I can watch the same game via my Apple TV because the device doesn’t use gps. Just offering my own experience.
I’ve been having the same problem for about a month now, but I can connect and Disney Plus, the problem is that I can’t watch ESPN anymore (I have tried Chile, Peru, Argentina, Colombia and Uruguay and no of them work any longer)
Have you tried using a different sever? Like in the US? I’m not sure if disney+ is available in Brazil but here in the philippines we have separate disney+ app. So if you connect using a US disney+ app you have to set the surfshark location to a US server. If you set it to just the Philippines server, the US disney plus app doesnt work.
You can try changing your location to match the VPN location. Be aware this could affect maps and directions on your devices. Is under advanced setting s.

Disney plus is 100% available in Brazil. I’m from Brazil, I’ve always used it and for the past 2 months this was working fine with Surfshark Brazilian server. I’ve literally woke up one day and suddenly wasn’t working anymore.
Neither my disney app, nor my account are from the US and it’s not the content from the US that I am looking for. But, either way, I’ve tried it and it doesn’t work - for some reason the app and the website are both blocking my access. If I turn off the VPN it logs in as if nothing happened.
