Can you take summer classes from outside the country if you have the UCLA VPN?

There’s a couple summer classes I wanna take, but I’m gonna be out of the country this summer. I just have a couple of questions:

  1. Does the UCLA VPN work abroad? Like Zoom, online lectures, midterms, finals, stuff like that?

  2. If you’re taking both A6 and C6, do you have to pay the registration fee for both sessions or just one?

  3. How many units do you have to enroll in per session session to get maximum aid?

I know students do it all the time from all over the world.

Also, I’ve heard of multiple students having problems trying to take online classes from China. Apparently it has to do with the Chinese national fire wall.

Units for both sessions are counted together for finaid.

Honestly the VPN never works for me

Yes. You usually don’t even need to use the vpn unless you want to access Kanopy or the library
