i need a browser that runs through a proxy or something that will unblock websites on my internet, from my knowledge, tor does this, however im pretty sure tor goes through multiple servers for extreme privacy, and therefore it becomes really slow. i just need one that goes through one so that i can unblock the websites
The tor browser runs your traffic through the tor network, not through a VPN.
You may wanna check out mullvad browser or brave.
Most VPN’s will have Split Tunnel, allowing you to direct just some apps on your computer through the VPN, so you can do what I do and just have firefox and qbittorrent run through it.
Also, most VPNs have browser plugins that work with the VPN settings in the Browser and let you choose to use a VPN or not with a little green/red button on the browser task bar.
I use PIA because they have been tested in the courts multiple times and found not to have any information on which user used which VPN and when. Privacy is important to me. But any VPN would be able to unblock most region blocked websites, though there is always the ongoing game of whak-a-mole going on to ban VPN servers.
Epic Browser has built in encrypted Proxy (advertised as VPN) to unblock geo restricted content. The only issue you should about it is not up to date with chromium engine, and its closed source.
Opera & Opera GX has built in VPN and a subscription based VPN, the only issue its most likely blocked in censorship heavy countries like the Middle East, which makes VPN useless in Opera in that case.
Aloha Browser on both PC and mobile has Built in VPN, there is also subscription for those who want more.
Brave has both VPN (subscription based) and Tor private tab (but not as private and secure as Tor Browser) (only available on Windows and Mac (IIRC))
There are many browsers that has built in proxies and VPNs and you can install extensions to use to access blocked content. But the most recommend approach is to buy an open source and trustworthy VPN like Windscribe, Proton VPN or Mullvad and make the connection across the system, not just only Browsers.
TL;DR: use VPN client and don’t worry about browsers.
sorry for my lack of knowledge, essentially i was trying to explain that tor was running through a seperate server and was therefore bypassing the blocking.
i will try these browser, ty
Mullvad requires you to either use their VPN or other VPNs, or you shut the DNS option to use it normally.
As for Brave, they have their own VPN (which is a source of controversy if you ask me), and support for Tor private tab (which is great but not as private as Tor browser itself.
ty, i have a couple of questions,
-
is pia free or is there like a way to get it for free?
-
Will radmin vpn or proton vpn work for this as those are the only 2 free ones i could find.
PIA is subscription based.
oh, thats sad, i was looking forword to something free but any knowledge about the other question?
