hello, didn’t know if there were some apps favoured by everyone that aren’t currently on the Play Store? I’d heard of some, but didn’t know if there were some newer favorites that don’t get as much buzz as say BlackMart
Check out f-droid, it’s basically an open source app store. Some of my favorites from f-droid are Tachiyomi (manga reader) and Newpipe (lightweight YouTube).
ITT: App names without a description of what it is
Tachiyomi.
Best manga reading/streaming client for Android, hands down. Better UI/UX than any of the ones available in the Play Store.
DNS66 for non-root adblocking.

Play Music Exporter: Exports music in Google Play Music to normal MP3 format with no DRM. I use it to convert songs for ringtones and alarms from my own hosted music, but I have heard that it works with All Access. The fork on F-Droid is still working and updated for Oreo.
-
LMT Launcher: This does not replace your launcher. It is a Pie-style menu that is activated from swiping out from the edges of the screen. It also alows you to create custom gestures on screen (like drawing letters) to activate whatever actions you choose. It is highly configurable, very powerful, and works great to replace navigation in Immersive Mode.

MinMinGuard: An ad-blocker that also removes the advertisement containers in the apps to open up more of the screen area for content. This is an Xposed Module.
Adaway, hands down best root adblocker!
Amaze. Quite good file manager FOSS. Available on f-droid
