So just as my title states, I need help understanding as to why my computer does this. It’s way less than a year old, I bought it brand spanking new and the first thing I did was download AURA for their VPN so that I can do my homework at my local Starbucks, library, or at my job on breaks using their free wifi. After a few days, my computer refused to load anything, such as google on safari or even the settings app as it would run obnoxiously slow, and I assumed this had to do with a corrupted update as it happened RIGHT AFTER I decided to update my computer. I factory reset it to the way it was before the update and tried loading things up, and boom, it worked perfectly fine! it caused me to wonder what it was and I choked it up to be because of the update so I decided NOT to update my computer for a while and all was good. after a while (a few days ago), I realized I forgot to download aura again, mind you I was at my job using their public wifi, so I downloaded it again, started their VPN and all was good. Then nothing would load AFTER I received a notification to update my computer. I went through the trouble of factory resetting my computer again, and then my computer was perfectly normal again. After ANOTHER while, I redownloaded AURA again, computer was still okay. This was up until today. I was attempting to do my homework and nothing would load AGAIN. not even my settings would load and I was completely over it to the point where I was going to take it to the Apple Store to ask them what was wrong. this was until I had the bold idea to uninstall aura since I was home, restart (not reset) my computer and EVERYTHING WORKS AGAIN.
Mind you, I tried numerous times to restart, shut down for a while then power it on, multiple wifi connections and different hotspots.
I wanted to share my experience and was wondering if anyone went through the same experience as I did, or if it is just my computer? I was also wondering if this is common? is it just the app? I need answers because it confuses me more than it really should
