Activate VPN from iPhone settings?

I have my outline server’s profile show up in iOS VPN settings but it won’t ever connect if I activate it here. It only connects through the Outline application.

Any way to make it work?

This will be available in the next iOS version (code change).

I used automation to automatically turn it on and off when opening/closing the application. The video is on YouTube.

Will it also connect on MacOS without the client app? Thank you.

Weird that it works through automation but not via settings.

You will need to install the client app, but you will be able to enable the VPN via the system settings on macOS too.
